What It Is:
A not-for-profit organization matching people with the need for legal services with private attorneys who volunteer to represent them at no cost.
Who Qualifies:
If you live in Madison County and are a low-income individual, you may be eligible for pro bono services. Specific qualifications:
Your household income is at or below 125% of the established federal poverty level OR
You receive financial assistance under one of the following programs:
- TANF Program
- Supplemental Security Income (SSI) or Social Security Disability (SSDI)
- Food Stamps Program

The volunteer lawyers’ programs also provide free legal assistance to community-based organizations that improve the lives of low-income Alabamians.
