Heath Brooks

Life Mantra: “Perseverance in the face of adversity.”

Best Advice Given: “Make sure to see and experience as many things as you possibly can.”

Best Advice Received: “Pick a path and walk it.”

Family Matters: “I’m married to my beautiful wife, Kelly, and we have a four-year- old daughter, Evelyn.”

In 2001, William Heath Brooks moved to Oregon as a way of purposely removing himself from his comfort zone.  He wanted to try something completely new and different.  That time away helped him to focus and plan his goals, paths, and aspirations for the rest of his life.

One of those paths led him to Cumberland School of Law at Samford University.  Since law school, Heath has spent his career representing individuals who cannot represent themselves.  After over a decade as a lawyer, he continues to work tirelessly on behalf of his clients.  Though many of them face some very difficult odds, he’s not one to back away from a challenge.  That’s why friends label him as hard-working and dedicated; he stands by his commitments no matter the obstacles.

Heath is an active member of the American Association for Justice and the Alabama Bar Association.  When away from work, he enjoys playing music, hiking, and spending time with his family.  And if he’s in need of inspiration, he can be found watching the sunrise or taking a walk in the woods.
